A Meihua Yishu Reading Delivered an Unexpected Answer
Lately, I’ve noticed many Christian missionaries and faith-based influencers sharing a similar message:
“Trust God more.”
“Stop worrying.”
“Leave everything in His hands.”
And honestly, I agree with much of that.
But then a question popped into my mind:
If I truly surrender everything to God…
Can I cancel my life insurance?
Throw away my emergency supplies?
Stop making business plans?
If my bank account drops to three digits, should I simply shout,
“Hallelujah!”
and wait for divine intervention?
Curious, I decided to consult the ancient wisdom of Meihua Yishu (Plum Blossom Numerology).
The question was cast on:
June 6, 2026 — 1:38 PM
The resulting hexagram was:
Hexagram 51 — Shock (Thunder over Thunder)
changing to
Hexagram 16 — Enthusiasm / Preparation (Thunder over Earth)
And the answer was far more practical than I expected.
God’s First Response: “Move!”
The primary hexagram, Shock, is represented by thunder.
Not gentle rain.
Not a peaceful sunset.
Not a monk sitting quietly on a mountain.
Thunder.
Loud.
Sudden.
Powerful.
The symbolism is clear:
This is not a hexagram of passivity.
It’s a hexagram of action.
It’s as if Heaven is shouting through a cosmic loudspeaker:
“Why are you still standing there? Move!”
Apparently, “surrendering to God” does not mean becoming spiritually unemployed.
Life Will Surprise You
The changing line points to a classic interpretation:
Unexpected events will arise. Do not panic.
That’s life, isn’t it?
Illness.
Accidents.
Economic downturns.
Heartbreak.
Market crashes.
Artificial intelligence replacing jobs.
Your favorite celebrity suddenly getting married.
Thunder arrives in many forms.
The oracle doesn’t promise that surprises won’t happen.
Instead, it says:
“When they do, stay calm.”
Faith is not the absence of storms.
Faith is refusing to lose your mind when the storm arrives.
Then Came the Real Twist
The transformed hexagram was Thunder over Earth, known as Yu (豫).
The Chinese character 豫 is deeply connected to ideas such as:
- Preparation
- Forecasting
- Planning
- Prevention
In modern language, it practically screams:
“Prepare ahead of time!”
At this point I had to laugh.
I asked:
“Should I simply surrender everything to God?”
And Heaven replied:
“Yes. And while you’re at it, prepare properly.”
It Turns Out God Likes Risk Management
Many people unconsciously imagine faith like this:
Trust God
↓
Do nothing
↓
Wait for miracles
↓
Happy ending
But this reading suggested something entirely different:
Trust God
↓
Become free from anxiety
↓
Think clearly
↓
Prepare wisely
↓
Achieve better outcomes
Notice the difference.
Faith removes fear.
It does not remove responsibility.
The Bible Actually Says the Same Thing
When you think about it, Scripture often teaches precisely this balance.
Consider Proverbs:
“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise.”
What does the ant do?
It stores food.
It plans ahead.
It prepares for winter.
In other words, the Bible’s model employee of the insect kingdom is a professional risk manager.
Not exactly the mascot of reckless optimism.
The Final Message of the Reading
If I had to summarize this reading in one sentence, it would be:
Surrender your worries to God, not your responsibilities.
Pray.
Trust.
Believe.
Absolutely.
But also:
Plan.
Prepare.
Act.
The first hexagram said:
“Move.”
The second said:
“Prepare.”
Together they form a surprisingly practical spiritual lesson.
Perhaps Heaven is less impressed by someone lying on a couch saying,
“Lord, please handle everything for me.”
And more pleased by someone who prays sincerely, creates a plan, packs an emergency kit, and takes the next step forward.
At least according to this reading, divine guidance seems to favor faith and wisdom working together.
So today, I’ll continue to pray.
But I’ll also check where my insurance documents are.
Just in case.
After all…
Thunder over Earth says: Prepare.
Amen.
