The Phenomenal World as a Projection of the Inner Field of Consciousness
Prologue｜Where is Heaven?
Most people imagine Heaven as:
- a realm reached after death
- a distant dimension
- a reward from a divine judge
But Jesus did not describe Heaven as elsewhere.
“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
This is not metaphor.
This is not religious poetry.
It is a description of how reality is structured.
Heaven is not a destination.
It is a state of consciousness.
1｜Reality Is the Inside Turned Outward
The world you think you see outside:
is actually being constructed inside your perceptual field.
- The eyes do not see; they transmit light.
- The brain assembles images.
- Meaning is assigned by consciousness.
In other words:
You never see the world “as it is.”
You see the world as you are.
The external world is a projection
of the internal field of awareness.
Heaven is internal recognition, appearing as the world.
2｜Why Two People Can Live in the Same World Yet Live in Different Realities
- The same sunset can be “beautiful” to one,
and “boring” to another. - The same words can be heard as “love”
or “attack.” - The same person can appear as “fate”
or “irrelevance.”
Why?
Because:
The world is a mirror.
It reflects the structure of the one who sees it.
The world is neutral.
Interpretation is internal.
The projection is yours.
3｜Meihua Xin-Yi Reading: Hexagram “Li (Fire)” — The Light That Reveals
The hexagram 離為火 (Li / Fire) emerged.
Fire symbolizes illumination:
it reveals reality not by shining on the outside,
but by shining from within the one who sees.
Li says:
You are not seeing the world.
You are seeing yourself, reflected through the world.
When anger burns inside, the world appears hostile.
When peace is present, everything softens.
Heaven and hell are not places.
They are psychological atmospheres projected outward.
4｜Does “Change Within, Change Without” Actually Work?
Yes — but not in the naïve, wish-fulfillment sense.
We do not change external circumstances directly.
What changes is:
- the vantage point from which we perceive
- which changes meaning
- which changes choices
- which changes behavior
- which changes reality
The order is always:
Inner → Perception → Action → Outer Reality
Heaven is not something that arrives from outside.
Heaven is the quality of consciousness that sees.
5｜Heaven Is the Absence of Inner Conflict
Heaven is not ecstasy.
Not cosmic fireworks.
Not spiritual superiority.
Heaven is quieter.
It is the moment:
- nothing must be defended
- nothing must be acquired
- nothing must be resisted
The world may remain the same,
but your relationship to it is no longer adversarial.
This peace is Heaven.
Conclusion｜Heaven Is Not in the Future — It Is in the One Who Sees the Present
You do not travel to Heaven.
You recognize it.
Heaven is not somewhere beyond the horizon.
Heaven is in the eyes through which you behold the world.
And those eyes —
that consciousness —
is already within you.
